I started my company True Nature in 2020 as an umbrella for the work I do, which is teaching Yoga, doing reflexology and in the recent years coaching in a very somatic and tantric approach. The latest is a reason for creating this website so people can learn about what I do. I am devoted to this work because I see this path as the most potent, effective, powerful and also fun and pleasurable way of living, being and for many-healing.
My interest in spirituality, energy but also the body started at a very young age and I was simply very lucky to be born into a family where my interests and explorations were supported.
My father passed on to me the love for music and to be honest, music was the religion I grew up in. To this day music is one of my biggest inspirations for anything creative, including creating yoga sequences. It also taught me listening and attunement which I am using daily in my work. He also taught me tenacity, dedication and focus.
My mother passed on to me love for books when I was little and I believe that cultivated both my love for language, imagination and writing. Words have been my creative expression, whether it is through poetry or the words I use when guiding people into their inner worlds.
My grandmother was my first spiritual teacher, I consider myself lucky not having gone to kindergarten as a child but instead spending time with my grandmother who taught me how to respect and appreciate nature and spirit. As many grandmothers coming from the Eastern block, she had the generational wisdom that I see is slowly disappearing these days..
These are my roots. Between my roots and who I am now is a teenage hood that left many scars on my soul; a decade of traveling the world; nearly a decade of teaching Yoga full-time, along with working with people through reflexology and private sessions.
I started training professionally in alternative therapies and energy work in 2007 and I’ve never stopped since.
I hold an ITEC diploma in Reflexology (2010, Cork, Ireland) and I did my first Yoga teacher training in 2014 (Goa, India) after practicing with my teachers from Himalaya Yoga valley centre for two years. That was of course just the beginning.
I later taught Yoga in Cambodia and in Nepal, before coming to Iceland in 2016.
Between 2016 and 2020 I was based between Iceland and India where I studied in traditional Hatha Yoga, Yoga therapy, emotional anatomy and SAT body work training. I also taught Yoga in north India in an ashram in intensive courses and Hatha Yoga teacher trainings.
In 2020 I based myself fully in Iceland, started my own company, became the owner of Reykjavik Yoga studio downtown and participated in and created Teacher trainings in Yoga Shala where I recently became a co-owner.
I have taught at retreats in Iceland and internationally.
In 2021 I started studying VITA coaching methodology with Layla Martin and in 2023 decided to do the program again to deepen my studies in Tantric approach to coaching, Tantra in general and neuroscience. The training is heavily trauma informed and it changed the way I teach, live and view people.
Seeing what this methodology did for me and many, many people I have coached or held space in retreats and courses for, it has totally become my passion, mission and path to walk on.
What I do for living is one of the most sacred things in life for me and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to pass my passion and love for it on!
